I am a Member of Polish Parliament, elected from the Podlaskie Voivodeship from the Civic Platform party (Platforma Obywatelska). In the Polish Parliament I am the vice chairman on the Foreign Affairs Committee, the chairman of the parliamentary group on Belarus and the member of the Culture and Media Committee.
PARLIAMENTARY ACTIVITIES
I am mostly involved in foreign affairs particularly in Eastern Europe, my priority being Belarus. I was closely working with the Union of Poles in Belarus led by Andżelika Borys. Ever since the moment I was elected I am continuously working in the parliament to ensure our help for democratic changes in Belarus. The parliamentary group on Belarus was created on my initiative.
I live in the Podlaskie voivodeship - a region which borders Belarus and because of that I know, how important it is to us, Poles, for our neighbors to live in a normal and safe country. That is why one of the priorities of my public service is helping Belorussians build a foundation of democracy and bring their country closer to the European union. I am also taking care of Polish - Lithuanian and Polish - Russian relations and feel closely tied to Ukraine and its problems.
Aside from that I'm acting for the benefit of my region the Podlaskie Voivodeship. To bring out its potential, promote it nationwide and to help Podlasians materialize valuable projects is my most important mission. I am fulfilling it in parliament as well as outside it during everyday work in the region and in the whole country.
Those interested in more specific information about my work, parliamentary speeches, inquiries and interpellations can find it at my parliamentary page:http://www.sejm.gov.pl/Sejm7.nsf/posel.xsp?id=407&type=A
